When is a direct brow lift the better choice?
Sometimes the problem is not in the eyelid but above it: the eyebrow has descended over the years and pushes the eyelid skin down. If only eyelid skin is removed in that situation, the brow can be pulled down even further. In that case the direct brow lift is the logical procedure, and Looks Clinics performs it.

How to recognise low-set eyebrows
The eyebrow sits on or below the rim of the eye socket. Many people compensate without noticing by raising their brows all day, with forehead lines and end-of-day headaches as a result. A recognisable clue: gently hold the brow in place and watch what happens to the eyelid.
How the direct brow lift works
The eye surgeon makes an incision along the upper edge of the eyebrow, directly above the brow hairs, and removes a strip of skin there. This brings the brow back to height. The scar follows the brow edge and disappears along it; this looks best with somewhat fuller eyebrows, as many men have. The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, takes 30 to 45 minutes, and the stitches are removed after six days.
Who is it intended for?
Mainly for people around 55 and older in whom the brow has demonstrably descended, in practice often men. A combination with upper eyelid surgery is possible when there is also real excess skin; you will hear the price of that combination during the consultation.
What does a direct brow lift cost?
At Looks Clinics the direct brow lift costs € 1,750 for both sides, including the consultation, aftercare and follow-up checks. A laser-assisted version costs € 200 more.
Unsure whether your complaint belongs to the brows or the eyelids? The self-test makes that distinction in two minutes, and in the complimentary photo assessment a specialist looks at your situation personally.
FAQ
Will the brow lift scar stay visible?
The scar sits along the upper edge of the eyebrow and fades over months. It disappears best along fuller brows; the physician discusses honestly beforehand what you can expect in your situation.
Is a wrinkle treatment of the brow tail not an alternative?
It can lift the tail of the brow a few millimetres and has to be repeated every three to four months. With a genuinely descended brow the effect is limited; the direct brow lift addresses the cause.
Can the brow lift be combined with upper eyelid surgery?
Yes, when there is excess skin in addition to the descended brow. You will hear the price of the combination during the consultation.
